911 - Flash Movie
On September 11, 2001, I was awakened by a phone call at 7:30 a.m. It was my mother, who was visiting family in Pennsylvania. "Turn on your TV" she said. "There are planes crashing into buildings in New York and Washington DC." You could hear her voice start to shake..."it's very sad, very sad..." I turned on the TV while on the phone with her and stared at the screen in disbelief. "I'll call you later" I told her and we said I love you and goodbye. I sat glued to that television for a week. I felt as if in a warp, a state of shock. I couldn't understand why or how this could happen in America.
I created this Flash slide show in September 2001 out of that that frustration of not being able to do something. I worked on this, finding pictures on Yahoo, then crying, then saving them, trying to find the music, and to put out on the Internet how I felt.
I hope you hug your family a little closer today, tell them a little more how you love them.

This is a large Flash Movie (1.5MB) because of the pictures. There is music on the movie also. This can take up to 7 minutes to download.
